How did I get to this!!!

So as newsletter editor for the ACPRC (Association for Chartered Physiotherapists in Respiratory Care) I was sent an advert to put into the newsletter

Home
Physiotherapy consultant needed in Nepal
The Association for the Support of Physiotherapy in Nepal (aspn) and Kathmandu University School of Medical Sciences are looking for a CLINICAL SPECIALIST to support the BPT Tutor Team (faculty) in Kathmandu University School of Medical Sciences, Kathmandu, Nepal in the field of cardio-respiratory conditions, with a focus on cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, physical fitness training and critical care physiotherapy (including ICU), for a two month period from November to December 2012

This request has come via the International Confederation of Physical Therapists and this invitation would represent an amazing opportunity for a suitable physiotherapist!

Mandie Thomas
Vice – Chair, International Confederation of Cardiorespiratory Physical Therapists (ICCrPT)

Well frankly who wouldn't apply?  (I did still put the advert in the March 2012 newsletter).  After a skype interview with 4 people spread across the globe - Mary in Canada, Sabina in Germany and Ranjeeta and Sumana in Nepal I was offered the post.  Work authorised a career break and it was all set.

I fly on 1st October 2012 and will be back 18th January 2013.
